Scope of services
These Terms & Conditions are intended to apply to services offered through JIT Productions, including music production services, mastering, mixing, education, digital products, consultations and related creative services, unless separate written terms are agreed.
Before publication, this draft should be reviewed against the exact services, sales process, payment platform and delivery model used by the business.
Quotes
Any quote or price estimate is based on the information provided by the client at the time of enquiry. If the scope changes, additional work may require a revised quote or separate agreement.
Payments
Payment terms should be confirmed before work begins. Depending on the service, payment may be required in full upfront, by deposit, by staged payment or by invoice.
Payment is due as specified at the time of purchase or in the agreed quotation. We accept payment by Stripe, PayPal and major credit/debit cards where available. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, work will begin once payment or any required deposit has been received. Refunds are subject to the Cancellation section of these Terms.
Delivery
Estimated delivery times are provided in good faith and may depend on project complexity, client response times, file quality, workload and any requested revisions. Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly agreed in writing as fixed deadlines.
Revisions
Where revisions are included, they apply to reasonable changes within the original agreed scope. Major changes, new creative direction, replacement source files or additional versions may be treated as extra work.
Revision allowances vary depending on the service purchased and will be specified in the relevant service description or quotation. Additional revisions beyond those included may incur extra charges.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, clients retain ownership of their original music, recordings, compositions and materials supplied for a project.
JIT Production retains ownership of its own tools, methods, templates, educational materials, presets, written content and other pre-existing intellectual property.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the rights and permissions needed for any material they provide, including samples, vocals, stems, artwork, references and third-party content.
Liability
Nothing in these terms should exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, liability should be limited fairly and proportionately based on the nature of the service and the amount paid.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JIT Productions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of our services, digital content or website. Our total liability for any claim relating to a specific service shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for that service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Cancellation
You may cancel your order before work has started and receive a full refund. Once work has commenced, or digital content has been supplied, cancellation and refund eligibility will depend on the stage of the project and the nature of the service provided. Where applicable, by requesting immediate access to digital content or asking work to begin before the end of the statutory cancellation period, you acknowledge that your right to cancel may be reduced or lost in accordance with applicable consumer law. Please contact us at info@jit.productions to discuss any cancellation or refund request.
Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute should be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless consumer protection law gives the client mandatory rights in another jurisdiction.
